Crescent Road

The original house was made up of a series of small rooms and a dark, enclosed kitchen, and our brief was to turn the kitchen into a utility room, create a contemporary, open-plan living space while preserving as much of the garden as possible.

Through detailed consultations, we listened carefully to how they used their home, identified the challenges of the existing layout and asked the right questions to uncover what mattered most to their family.

This collaborative process allowed us to develop a design that relocated the enclosed kitchen, introduced a generous kitchen, dining and living area, created a fully functional home office and incorporated a stunning roof terrace above the extension, which provided additional outdoor space without sacrificing the garden.

The completed extension has transformed the way the family lives. Expansive glazing and wide sliding doors connect the interior with the garden, while the large kitchen island creates a sociable heart to the home, perfect for everyday family life and entertaining. Every design decision was made to maximise light, improve circulation and provide a beautiful living space that the family loves.
