The Children are the future or so the saying goes, so Greenway Associates are supporting the students of Wallington girls High School in their desire to face the future.  On Monday 2^nd December I will be volunteering at the annual Careers Fair to answer questions and to present information relevant to architecture and the built environment.  It is quite inspiring that this presentation is at a girls school – as the construction industry is no longer the domain of males.

When I was first asked to volunteer, my heart raced a bit as I remembered my route into architecture many years ago back in the Caribbean.  There was no Careers fair just the strong support and guidance from my mother – who herself enjoyed peering at beautiful buildings.  So I will go with pride knowing that I am passing on the baton to the next generation of designers and patrons of the built environment.
